THE OLD MAN AND HIS GRAND SON 

Once upon a time in a small village ,there lived a single – father by name jack , jack was popularly known as , jack the jolly by the people of the village , as he was always in a good mood despite of any situation,

Jack loved his son Hensel, as he was his only person in the whole world, he took good care of his son and never let him fell the absence of a mother .

Jack – eatt your broccoli or the gaint monster will come and eat it all and become very strong, do u want the monster to be stronger more than you ?

Hensel- no I do not !

The next day

Jack- Hensel ,it is time to take a shower.

Hensel- it is so cold today, I do not feel like it .

Jack- well ,son, if you don’t shower than you will start smelling and no one will be friends with you

Do you want that ?

One day whele Hensel was having his soup of a bowl, he dropped it and it broke into pieces , poor Hensel started cry but his father soon come to console him,

Jack- oh , son! It is absolutely fine ! I will buy a new bowl for you. Do not worry

Hensel- thanku father !

Time passed and Hensel grew up to be a handsom man,

Everyone in the village called his ‘hensel the handsome,

 Jack the jolly was now known as jack the old.

He had grown old and weak and the jolliess in him was fading away

But Hansel took care of him and would make sure he was always by his father’s side whenever he neddded him.

Days passed and Hansel soon feel in love with a girl called elise !

They love each other so much that they decided to get married.

Soon with the bleesing of jack , Hansel and elise get married  .

Jack was very happy for his son , but he was unware of what was coming his way,

As a few months passed elise started to show her true colors.

She started to drew Hensel away from his father,

And soon. Helsel was a changed man , all the love of respect he had for his father gradually divineshed as he got more atteened to his wife. Elise would control Hensel and ensured that he fulfilled her whims and fancies.

Elise- Hensel, where are you going ?

Hansel- I am going to check on my father , I want to make sure that he has eaten .

Elise – all you do is think about your father, what about me Hansel , whay about me ?

Don’t you have responsibility towards me ?

Hansel – of course I do , sweetheart ! here I will sit with you. Happy ?

And thus , elsie managed to take Hansel away from his own father , she wanted her husband all to herself and started behaving rudely with jack , this influenced Hansel as well as he stopped wishing for the well-being of his father,

Elsie- your father keeps sleeping all the time , I can’t take the sound of his snoring.

Hansel- father , be a little careful, will you ? and soon jack started to feel lonelier and more detached from his son.

He had no one to talk to and share his emotions with.

A year passed and elsie gave birth to a son whom they named herry , harry brought a lease of new life for jack he would play with herry and jack he would paly like he used to of jack , but elsie did not like the closeness of harry and his grandfather.

Eight years passed by since harry was birth and jack the old grew older and weaker  his eyes become dim, his yers dull of hearing and his hands and knees them bled, his grand son was the only reason that kept him going.

Soon , jack’s situation worsended, his hands would tremble so much that he could not hond the spoon properly while eating .

One day while sitting at the dinning table , he could hardle to hold the spoon and spilt the brouth upon table- clouth,

This made the uncompassionate elise furious, oh, my goodness ! this is as expensive table that I got from the market , now who will wash them ?

Hansel tried to console his wife ,

Hansel – calm down , my love !

Elsie calm down?

Do you khow how much I love this table cloth?

Hansel took a deep breath and made the decision that fron next day onwards jack will sit at the dinning  tabl eno more , and so from the next day ,jack had sit in the corner behind the store , he was served food ine earthwhere bowl, fill from his had and smashed into pieces, elise come running to the kitchen,

Elise- Ohh no... this was expensive earthwhere bowl that my family gifted me . You old man living off on my husband's earnings and wasting our money , don't deserve to be servol in a expensive bowl,

But Jack said nothing and only sighed meanwhile,  little Harry would watch all of this from a coner.

Jack was deply hurt by the behaviour of his son daughter in law.

from next day  Elise and Hansel brought him a wooden bown for a few half-pensce out of which Jack had to eat, But    Harry was the only thing that brought smile on Jack's face

Harry would of tan come and sat be side Jack till he finish his meal.

Week passed and the usul sad life of Jack continued,

One day , while Elise and Hansel where sitting by the fire , they noticed Harry collecting pieces of wood .

Look , how innocently our son plays,

Hansel- what are do Harry ? Are you buliding a home for us ?

Harry- no , i am planning to mak wooden bowl for you,

Elise- wooden bowls for us ? But son , we don't need wooden bowls !

Harry - not now, but when you become as old as grandpa,  I don't want you to be breaking earthan ware , that's why I am making them for now onwords !

This strucks Hansel and Elise straight into their heart's for realised their mistake,

And thus,  from the next day on words ,they took good care of Jack,

They ensured we always ate with them and mad sure that we was always cherful and jolly , as he used to be , His son realised his mistake and change his behaviour for his father, now they live happyly .
